So, you want to know about me, eh? Well, I'm currently a resident of Vermont, but am
attending WPI (Worcester Polytechnic Institute) in Worcester, Massachusetts.
As I already mentioned on the main page of this site, I run
Classic Mac Workshop, which
provides free resources and technical support for users of Classic (old) Macintosh computers.
I spend most of my spare time working on that site, writing articles, trying new things on
my various Classic Macs, answering e-mail, etc.
Not only do I do web design (and I do all the graphics on this site and the other), but I
also do a LOT of programming. Actually, that's what I'm going to college for. I'm
majoring in Computer Science! Lately I've been messing around with OpenGL a lot on my Macs
and a little on Windows and BeOS PC's too. I've got a bunch of simple effects demos on
the Downloads page which you can download or view (currently only
the Mac versions are there, but if I get more disk space I'll put the Windows versions up
too. I've got a couple simple games I've been messing around on too, but those aren't up
yet.
I'm just rambling here, because I don't know how much you want to know, but I'm very
interested in operating systems. That's one of the reasons I prefer Macs and collect
Classic Macs, because the MacOS is a very well made GUI OS (not a GUI running on an archaic
OS like Windows is with DOS). I like to mess around with UN*X a bit too because the power
to do so much is there (I can't wait to try MacOS X, it should be fairly cool). One of
my primary interests, as you probably have figured out by the fact that I program in OpenGL,
is 3D graphics, so I constantly have ideas running through my head for 3D GUI OS's. I
would like to develop one (or atleast design one) some day, but not a full 3D GUI OS,
because most people aren't ready for that yet, but some type of merge between a 3D world-
based environment and the 2D desktop GUI of today.
Anyway, that's just about all you should ever need to know about me (and all that I feel
comfortable divulging), so... so long!
